<p>A cleated sole for footwear, esp. leisure shoes, is moulded in one piece from a rubber or plastics material. It features an area separated by a step from the front of the sole to form a heel, the lower face of the cleats on the heel protruding below the lower face of the cleats on the sole itself. The mouldings on the whole sole prevent forwards, backwards and sideways slipping, while the provision of a raised heel allows good grip when going downhill.</p> |
