PURPOSE:To enable omission of positioning members, and paper trouble detection sensors, simplification of the apparatus, and size reduction, by using a paper detector for paper trouble detection and exposure scanning timing control. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original 5c is scanned by movement of a contact glass plate 5a in the direction of an arrow AR2 synchronized to the rotation of a photosensitive drum 1 in the direction of an arrow AR1. The light reflected from the original 5c is passed through a lens 2 and focused on the position alpha on the drum 1. The whole image of the original 5c is projected during plural rotations of the drum 1, and a corresponding latent image is developed with a developing device 6, the toner image is transferred at a transfer positon beta just under a transfer charger 11 onto a recordig paper fed from a register roll 10. The paper is conveyed at a speed same as the drum 1 surface with the roll 10 from the detection time of a paper detector 8, and when original scanning is started by the detection signal of the detector 8, the front end of the paper coincides with the front end of the original image at the position beta. When the detector 8 provides a detection signal before and after the paper feed to the roll 10, a countermeasure action is taken as paper trouble. |
