Circumferential cams (35, 36) are arranged on the drive spindle (33) arranged parallel to the armature shaft of the drive motor. These circumferential cams (35, 36) convert the rotation of the drive spindle into a reciprocating movement of the drive piston (13) of the percussion mechanism. This takes place by means of a pin which is located radially to the drive spindle (33), is anchored in the drive piston (13), passes through its guide cylinder (18) and is directly driven by the circumferential cams (35, 36). The drive motor (20) is axially offset relative to the guide cylinder (18).
