A conveying device for the transport of passenger luggage items and piece goods as air freight, with a loading platform provided with a frame, side elements which are attached to the loading platform and are also provided with a frame and a conveying track which guides the loading platform. The loading platform has a frame which encloses the rectangular area below it with flat lateral external surfaces and the conveying track has two guides which are formed from alternating rollers with horizontal axes which support the loading platform from below and rollers with vertical axes which guide the lower frame laterally. With the aid of such a loading platform and the conveying track associated with it, both passenger luggage items and piece goods can be transported by various types of aircraft in such a way that the passenger luggage which has been checked in does not require any manual contact or reloading whatsoever between the check-in point and the destination.
