PURPOSE:To make the quality of reused developer and toner very high to form a high quality image, by carrying selectively only the developer and the toner suitable for reuse when recovered developer and toner are carried to a developing part. CONSTITUTION:When a toner D carried from a cleaning part side through a carrying pipe 2A by a coil-shaped or spiral screw-shaped rotating conveyor 3 is sent into a repeating part 1, the toner D is attracted by magnets of magnetic poles S1 and N1 in a hollow nonmagnetic sleeve 4 and is put on the surface of this rotating sleeve 4 and is carried. Upstanding tufts of the developer are formed so as to be highest in the magnetic pole part and be lowest in the middle between magnetic poles. However, a repulsive magnetic field is generated between adjacent magnetic poles N1 and N2 having the same polarity, and lines of magnetic force exist hardly there. The toner D, where impurities are mixed, attracted to the surface of the nonmagnetic sleeve 4 rotated on the outside circumference of a fixed magnet 5 which has this distribution of lines of magnetic force is carried on the sleeve 4 and reaches the position near the magnetic pole N1. |
