PURPOSE:To facilitate the production and to improve the productivity of a head slider supporting mechanism, by making a carriage fixing part, an elastic part, a beam main body part, a pair of cantilevers and a head slider attachment part in one body, and fitting the body with the head slider. CONSTITUTION:A monolithic structure is obtained by blanking for a carriage fixing part 23 connected to a carriage arm 24, an elastic part 22, a beam main body part 21, a pair of cantilevers 27 and a head slider attachment part 28. The fringe part 26 of the part 21 is folded to increase the rigidity. A head slider 30 is attached to the part 28, and a weighted load beam 31 having a U-shaped section is attached to the tip of the part 21. Such a consititution eliminates the delicate assembling work to facilitate the production, and the productivity is improved. |
