Prefabricated metallic window frame - incorporates horizontal channels in which additional panes can slide

The prefabricated metallic window frame is for installation next to an existing window frame (D) and incorporates pairs of horizontal channels (4,5;6,7) on the inner surfaces of the upper (1) and lower (2) cross-members which receive sliding glass panes (9,10). On installation, the frame extends outwards from the existing window and covers a layer of insulation material (E) applied to the exterior of the building wall (M). A support (11) for a venetian blind (12) is positioned between the interior edge of the frame and the channels (4,5) arranged on the upper cross-member.
