A secondary battery is provided to prevent an electrode group from being shaken by external impact and to improve the stability of the contact of an electrode group and a lead member. A secondary battery comprises an electrode group which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; a case which accommodates the electrode group and has a projected support part for supporting the electrode group; and a cap assembly which is combined with the case and is provided with an electrode terminal electrically connected with the electrode group, wherein the case comprises a main body(30b) having a first surface(30c) and a second surface(30d) facing each other and the support part is formed on the first and second surfaces.
