<p>PURPOSE:An ink for jet recording, containing an N-alkanolamine salt of m-di- gallic acid as an additive, and capable of improving the water resistance of a dyed material without deteriorating the solubility of a dye. CONSTITUTION:An ink for jet recording containing an N-alkanolamine salt of m- di-gallic acid expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are H or (hydroxy)alkyl; R3 is H or 1-4C alkyl], e.g. a compound expressed by formula II, as an additive in an amount of preferably 0.5-20wt% in an ink composition consisting of a water-soluble dye, e.g. a direct dye or acid dye, a wetting agent, preservative and water, etc. EFFECT:Improved stability for a long term.</p> |
