CONTROLL APPARATUS FOR HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM

A control apparatus for a home automation system and a method thereof are provided to enable a visitor to select connection with a user through a call by transmitting a pre-designated guide voice to the visitor when the visitor operates a door phone during user's absence, thereby reducing communication costs of the user. A door lock controller(60) controls locking and opening of a digital door lock(100). A voice input/output unit(50) receives a voice of a visitor through a door phone(110), and outputs a transmitted voice. A memory(40) stores the voice of the visitor inputted through the voice input/output unit in a voice record database(42), and stores call connection database(46) including a phone number for communication with a user. A digital signal processor(20) forms the voice record database to be stored in the memory. The digital signal processor is connected with the voice input/output unit and the door lock controller to perform communication through the phone number of the call connection database through a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) converter(30) when the visitor selects connection with the user through the door phone. After that, the digital signal processor transmits the voice of the visitor, stored in the voice record database stored in the memory, to the user through a phone(120).
