The invention relates to a hollow packaging body, which can be erected from an originally flat blank of square basic shape, for receiving objects or pourable or flowable products. According to the invention, the blank (1) consisting of cold-bendable material is provided alternately on the upper side (2) and on the underside (3) with bending or creasing edges (9-12 or 17-20) which abut one another in an essentially perpendicular manner, are constructed as film hinges and define a bottom surface (21) and four connected side and end wall parts (22, 23 and 24, 25) of rectangular shape, the latter projecting vertically upwards having been bent over and enclosing triangular folding corners (13-16), and means being provided to connect the folding corners (13-16) to the end wall parts (22-25). The foldable container according to the invention can advantageously be accommodated in a case, having been folded flat as a strip. The foldable container according to the invention can be used advantageously when shopping for transporting the purchased goods. The container can also be used, for example, when walking dogs to give the animal food or drink. <IMAGE>
