For EDP acquisition and evaluation of the information content of initial recordings, the initial recording is firstly conventionally microfilmed. The EDP acquisition of its information content is done from the microfilm, the microfilm reader being connected to the EDP acquisition device by means of an interface. As a result, the physical position of the microfilm recording of the initial recording is automatically integrated into the acquired data of the initial recording.
