Parachute system

The parachute system has a canopy with openings. The developed projection of the canopy consists of two groups of trapezoidal sections which are connected to one another along the keel line (8). Supporting lines (12, 13), which are attached to the free side edges of the sections and to the keel line, and control lines (14) are provided. Two rings (16) are provided through which the supporting lines (12, 13) are guided and which are connected by an element (17) to which an auxiliary parachute (19) is connected. The upper ends of the control lines (14) consist of two branches (20, 21) using which the control lines (14) are connected to the corresponding supporting lines (12, 13). The branches (20, 21) extend in mutually opposite directions. In this case, each control line (14) runs around a corresponding ring (16), to be precise in such a manner that it is also located outside the ring (16) while its lower branch (21) is passed through this ring (16). <IMAGE>
