The theft-protection device comprises a first rod element which is preferably manufactured from cemented steel and forms at one of its ends a hook element which can be arranged on an operating pedal of a motor vehicle. At its other end, the first rod element forms a body which is likewise manufactured from strong metal material and to which a second rod element can be telescopically connected, which is likewise preferably manufactured from cemented steel. This element forms at its upper end an open ring for connection to the steering wheel of the motor vehicle and, at a lower end, it has a large number of annular grooves which are arranged at a distance from one another and make possible connection to the metal body. Also mounted inside the latter is an electronic alarm device which can be switched on if required and is suitable for establishing the presence of moving bodies inside the vehicle and triggering an acoustic alarm.
