PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of engine stall at the time when the temperature is low, by correcting a correction signal for increasing the engine speed further on the basis of the temperature of cooling water when various loads are set into operation in executing feedback control on the idling speed of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A control apparatus, which executes feedback control on the idling speed of an engine on the basis of the output signals of an engine-speed sensor, a load sensor for detecting that various loads such as a cooler and an automatic transmission, a cooling-water sensor, etc., produces a control signal corresponding to the deviation between the actual engine speed and an aimed engine speed at steps A-F. When it is detected at a step G that the load sensor is turned ON, the control apparatus produces a correction signal for increasing the engine speed at a step I. Here, only when it is detected at steps J-M that the temperature of cooling water is lower than a prescribed value, the correction signal is further corrected to increase the engine speed, and an actuator is controlled at a step H. |
