PURPOSE:To make a titled device compact and light, by making respective beams of a main part of the device free from generating a bending stress. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 10 to be bent is inserted through a pipe press die 9 as well as is fitted to respective pipe holding dies 2 and 4. A hydraulic jack 7 is stretched to move joints 14 and 16 in the direction of separating the joints 14 and 16 from each other, and respective supporting beams 3 and 5 are turned in the direction of being separated from each other around respective supporting shafts 12 and 13 set as the turning centers. Respective beams 6 and 8 for moving the die 9 and a supporting shaft 24 to which a cross joint is pivotally jointed are moved together in the direction of approaching the jack 7, and the die 9 also moves in the direction of approaching the jack 7 by the cross joint through lock arms 26. Accordingly, a pressing force P is added to the pipe 10, and reactions R1 and R2 are added to the pipe by the dies 14 and 16, to bend the pipe 10. |
