<p>A process of quencing metal using as the quenching medium an aqueous solution containing from about 0.5% to 50% by weight of a liquid, water-soluble, capped polyether polyol obtained by reacting ethylene oxide and at least one lower alkylene oxide having 3 to 4 carbon atoms, e.g. propylene oxide, with an active hydrogen compound, such as a lower glycol, to prepare a heteric or block copolymer, and further reacting the copolymer with an alpha olefin oxide, the polyol having a molecular weight of from about 7000 to 15,000.</p> |
