In a cable-pull window lifter having a driver which is movable along a guide rail and which is equipped with sliding elements bearing on the two sides of an edge strip, it is proposed to equip the resilient sliding element with a vibration-damping element. The sliding element can consist of a flattened metal sleeve, in the interior of which is inserted a cylindrical damping rubber. Vibrations originating from the resilient sliding element are thereby prevented.
