The invention relates to an attachment, which can be mounted on a lathe, for turning the flanges (11) of motor-vehicle wheel rims (10). So that parts of this type, which can have concentricity errors distributed non-uniformly over the periphery, can be machined by turning in such a way that a uniform plate thickness is retained, an attachment is proposed in which the following are provided: a) a base plate (1) to which a supporting plate (3) is linked by means of parallelogram links (2, 12), b) a double-acting compressed-air cylinder (4) linked at one end to the base plate (1) and at the other end to one (12) of the parallelogram links (2, 12), c) a pressure roller (5) mounted on the supporting plate (3) and bearing against the rim flange (11) to be machined, d) a turning tool (7) arranged opposite the pressure roller (5), e) a slide (6) which is guided on the supporting plate (3) and to which the turning tool (7) is fastened, and f) a stop (9) limiting the travel of the slide (6). <IMAGE>
