In order to improve an electrical cartridge heating body having a thermal element which can be connected in the control loop of the heating element, the heating element and the thermal element being inserted in an electrically insulated manner into a common, pot-shaped metallic sleeve, and the metal rod connecting point of the thermal element resting in a thermally conductive manner against the inside of the sleeve base, to the extent that a quicker reaction of the thermal element can be achieved using simple and cost-effective means, the sleeve base (9) consists of material which is more thermally conductive than the sleeve jacket (8). <IMAGE>
