摘要 For self-commutated multi-quadrant static converters which are used in, among other things, speed-controlled three-phase drive systems, a suppressor circuit is specified which reduces the turn-on and -off losses of the semiconductor switches and diodes. It is particularly suitable for GTO thyristors (gate turn-off thyristors). Because fundamental switching losses and losses due to load-current-carrying additional diodes are avoided, high switching frequencies and efficiencies and a good power utilisation of the semiconductor switches are achieved. Apart from the reactive elements basically necessary - turn-on relief reactor (Ls) and turn-off relief capacitor (Cs) - only one further capacitor (Csp) for buffer storage and one further reactor (Lr) to bring back the suppressor circuit energy is needed. <IMAGE>
