The present invention relates to a holder, with which a scouring cloth or duster can be attached securely and quickly to a cleaning implement, in particular a scrubbing brush. The previously known scrubbing brushes, as are generally used in the household for washing floors and the like, have the disadvantage that the scouring cloth becomes detached from the scrubbing brush, especially in the case of rough floors or steps, and needs to be placed on repeatedly. This holder of the present invention eliminates all the above disadvantages in a simple and advantageous manner. By means of holding clips, which are arranged so as to be axially displaceable and fixable on the scrubbing brush handle, the scouring cloth is clamped to the upper side of the scrubbing brush, which prevents it from slipping off. A further advantage lies in the fact that side walls or ceilings can also be cleaned using this scrubbing brush. The possibilities of application are increased by attaching a sponge or sponge cloth. Any conventional scrubbing brush can also be refitted with such a holder.
