The subject of the invention is a rotary or stroke die, in which a common axial or a circumferential adjustment of the dies is to be effected. The die consists of a male or upper die (1) and a female or lower die (2), the upper and lower die (1, 2) consisting of a shaft (3, 7) and a bush (4, 8) rotatable and axially displaceable thereon. Provided in the bush (4) of the upper die (1) is a bore (11) which extends tangentially to the die shaft (3) and into which is inserted a key (12) which engages, by way of a toothed part (13), into a toothed rack (6) of the die shaft (3). In addition, the key (12) has at its lower end a spigot (14), with which it engages into a bore (15) in the bush (8) of the other die (2). <IMAGE>
