Single-part cylinder head with two overhead camshafts, which by way of bucket tappets on each cylinder drive at least four suspended gas exhaust and refill valves, which are essentially arranged on both sides of the cylinder longitudinal centre plane and on one side have an angle of inclination of more than 5 DEG to the cylinder centre axis, bores terminating in the vicinity of the camshafts being provided in the cylinder head for fixing screws of the cylinder head on a cylinder block. In order to provide good access to the fixing screws, given a small, structurally favourable overall valve angle, the exhaust valves are aligned parallel to the cylinder centre axis and the bores for the fixing screws on the one hand on the side of the inlet valves inclined by 20 DEG lie inside the cylinder head area defined by the two camshafts, whereas the fixing screws on the opposite side lie outside this area.
