PURPOSE:To make easy to check the amount of electrolyte in a lead-acid battery and make easy maintenance such as water supplementation by adding aqueous solution of coloring matter or fluorescent substance or these powder having water dispersion property in an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A coloring material or a fluorescent substance is added in conventional lead-acid battery electrolyte to make easy maintenace of the battery. Any coloring material which is water soluble or dispersed in water and makes easy to see electrolyte can be used. Fluorescent substance such as fluorescein, eosin, estarin, quinine salts is used. Additives which assist water-dispersion are preferable to be added to fluorescent substance if necessary. |
