The soundproofing elements consist of a concrete-like, bulk-porous, sound-transmitting, wire mat-reinforced layer and of a porous sound-absorbing layer, e.g. a mineral fibre board, and of a sound-insulating layer made of impervious building material, e.g. asbestos cement, which is applied thereto. The layer of asbestos cement can be replaced by a concrete-like, bulk-porous layer. For stabilisation, the layers enclosing the porous sound-absorbing layer can be strengthened by means of concrete pillars or asbestos cement pillars or concrete bridges or asbestos-cement bridges, or anchors, engaging in or through the sound-absorbing layer. <IMAGE>
