The invention relates to a device for image field scanning having two scanning devices, the pupils of one scanning device being projected into the pupils of the other scanning device by an afocal optical system. This optical system consists of a spherical mirror and a concentric Bouwers lens which is arranged such that the locus of the detector image lies on one of the two faces of the Bouwers lens. Furthermore, in the region of this locus a reflecting strip is vapour-deposited onto the Bouwers lens.
