A heating stove (1) comprises cooking plates (21) and a water container (7). In order to provide a simple and above all energy-saving possibility for heating rooms, for cooking and roasting and for hot-water preparation, the heating stove (1) has at least one heating chamber (3), in which an electric heating rod (5) is arranged. The heating chamber (3) is surrounded in the form of a box at least by a water boiler insert (7), in order therein to heat service water and/or heating water flowing through. By opening or closing passage openings in the water boiler insert (7), the air in the room, the cooking plates or the baking oven can be heated selectively. <IMAGE>
