PURPOSE:To provide a titled wire which does not contain any material acting as a hydrogen source on the surface and has stable feedability, by specifying the compsn. of a mixture of the graphite, MoS2 and glass powder in a lubricant to be coated on the surface of the wire and the weight ratio of the lubricant and the wire. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant contg. a mixture consisting of 30-80wt% graphite and/or MoS2, 10-60wt% glass powder, and if necessary, 3-40wt% >=1 kinds among ethylene tetrachloride, talc, calcium carbonate and Al powder is coated on the surface of a wire. The content of the lubricant is specified at 5X10<-2>- 5X10<-4>% based on the weight of the wire. The flux cored wire for arc welding which does not contain any material acting as a hydrogen source on the surface, has the surface free from idling in a feed roll and provides stable wire feedability is thus obtained. |
