PURPOSE:To utilize the energy of water effectively without requiring a special location by a method wherein a movable weir is arranged at the upstream side of an underwater weir, provided at the proper position in a river, and a draft tube, penetrating the underwater weir obliquely from the upstream side to the downstream side thereof, is formed to install a hydraulic generator at the upstream side of the entrance of the draft tube so as to coincide the axial line thereof with the same of the draft tube. CONSTITUTION:The underwater weir 1 is provided at the proper position in the river and the movable weir 2 is arranged in parallel to the underwater weir at a place above the weir 1. The draft tube 3, penetrating the weir 1 obliquely from the upstream side to the downstream side thereof, is bored to install the hydraulic generator 4 at the upstream side of the entrance of the draft tube so as to coincide the axial line thereof with the same of the draft tube 3. An intercepting gate 6 is equipped at the entrance of the draft tube and is opened and closed in accordance with the beginning and the stopping of the electric power generation. The hydraulic generator 4 is consisting of a water introducing tube 4A and the main body 4B of the generator and is just put on the bottom of the river under being supported by a frame 5, therefore, the generator may be lifted up by a crane together with the frame 5 in case the river is flooded or the like. |
