Heat exchanger for a nuclear power station having a reactor which generates heat that is absorbed by a first heat carrier circulating in a primary coolant circuit and is to be transferred by said heat carrier in the heat exchanger to a second heat carrier which circulates in a secondary coolant circuit and feeds a turbine which drives a generator and whose waste steam is to be condensed with cooling in a condenser and to be subsequently reheated in the heat exchanger, the heat exchanger having at least two essentially parallel conduits, which are connected to gills arranged on their outside and extending essentially transverse to the conduits, and through which the two heat carriers flow in counterflow.
