PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the device and to separate surely a sheet from the surface of a drum, by providing a blowing hole, through which air is blown against the surface of a photoreceptor for the purpose of aiding the sheet separation, and a suction hole for carrying the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Air is blown against the surface of a drum 1 from an air blowing hole 11 provided in the lower stream of a separating discharger 10 to aid the sheet separation due to the discharger 10. Many apertures 13a provided in a belt 13 where the separated sheet is carried are connected to a fan 16 through an air suction hole 21a and a suction box 21, and the sheet is sucked and carried. Air discharged from the fan 16 is blown from the blowing hole 11. Since the suction box 21 is not closed when the leading edge of the sheet reaches the discharger 10, sufficient air is blown from the blowing hole 11 to separate the sheet surely; and when the sheet exists on the belt 13, the quantity of blown air is reduced, and the toner on the surface of the drum 1 is not scattered. Consequently, the quantity of air is controlled by the sheet itself, and only one fan is required. |
