PURPOSE:To improve the workability of the titled water heater by a method wherein the structure of a connecting plate which is fixed to the side surfaces of a heat collector and a hot water storage tank for the purpose of keeping both the heat collector and the tank fixed to, and supported on, a setting surface is improved so that the work of installation of the heat collector and the tank is carried out on the side of any of them. CONSTITUTION:In case where the heat collector 7 and the hot water storage tank 3 are installed by using the connecting plate 10, the following steps are taken: The tank 3 which is installed at a predetermined position is fixed to the connecting plate 10 by means of a fixing metal 17; the heat collector 7 is fixed temporarily in such a manner that a fixing metal 14 provided in advance on the side surface of the heat collector 7 is brought into engagement with an engaging section 16A on one side of a slide groove 16 provided in the connecting plate 10; connecting pipes 7A and 3A of a water supply system are connected to each other; the fixing metal 14 is slid toward the tank 3 to engage an engaging section 16B and at the same time, an engaging pin 15 is made to engage the engaging section 16A by lifting the heat collector 7; and finally, the fixing metal 14 is clamped to the engaging section 16B to thereby fix the collector 7 to the connecting plate 10. |
