PURPOSE:To cause secondary electrons produced on the surface of a thin plate to reach a dynode of the next stage efficiently. CONSTITUTION:In order to make dynodes 3 and 4, a plural number of thin plates 42 are positioned slanted to the main axis. When the pitch between the plates 42 which is in the direction perpendicular to the main axis is supposed to be (d) and the thickness of the dynodes 3 and 4 which is in the direction of the main axis is supposed to be (t), the dynodes 3 and 4 are constituted so that the relation of 1.5<=d/t<=1.75 is satisfied. |
