PURPOSE:To enable feeding of a welding wire at a desired low average feeding speed by pulsing an inching command except when welding arc is generated. CONSTITUTION:Except when welding arc is generated, for instance, at the time of teaching a robot, a wire 9 is fed to detect the position of the groove, etc. of a work 4. At the time of this inching, an inching command (a) given to a welding power source 3 from the main control panel is made to a pulse signal. The power source 3 is made active only in on-period of the command (a). A motor 7 is driven to feed the wire 9 only in on-period of the pulse. The wire 9 is sent out by about 1mm. by one motor driving pulse. Accordingly, the amonut of projection of the wire 9 can be controlled easily by controlling the number of pulses. This control is carried out automatically by the main control panel including CPU. |
