PURPOSE:To perform the leveling of a bright aluminium band material while preventing the bright surface of it from the generation of flaw, by making the rolls of a group of bridle rolls which are in contact with the bright surface freely rotatable. CONSTITUTION:A bright aluminium band material S is recoiled in sequence from a recoiling reel 1 and is passed through a degreasing tank 2 to remove oil, etc. remaining on the strip S, and is wrapped around plural bridle rolls 3-10 in sequence, and further, the band material S is passed through a leveler 11 consisting of freely rotatable rolls and is recoiled by a coiler 12. At this time, for providing a prescribed elongation to the material S, the tension of material S is controlled by adjusting the speeds of rolls. In this case, when the under surface of the material S is bright one S', bridle rolls 3, 5, 8, and 10 are made freely rotatable, and the other bridle rolls 4, 6, 7, and 9 are used as driving rolls, and leveling is performed by adjusting the speed difference between the driving rolls to provide the prescribed tension to the material S. |
