PURPOSE:To process an image under the optimum conditions, by providing a controller for setting one parameter concerning image processing in accordance with the result obtd. by comparing the max., min. values and at least one value between them among original reflection light intensity read with an optical sensor. CONSTITUTION:An original density reading mechanism 26 is provided with optical sensors 28, 29, 30. the sensors 28, 29 are fixed to a wire 33, and the sensor 30 is fixed to a frame 34. A pulley 31 is divided into two steps, the wire 33 is engaged with one side of it, and a wire 35 is engaged with the other step, and it is connected to an illumination lamp 4, mirrors 5, 6 and the like optical scanning system. When the wire 35 is moved, the frame 34 is moved in the direction of AR2, and the sensors 28, 29 move. After all, all the mechanism 26 moves in the direction of AR2 in accordance with the movement of the wire 35, the sensors 28, 29 each moves in the directions of AR4, AR5, respectively, and the sensors 28, 29, 30 are each driven for scanning along a locus of each alternate long and two short dashes line. |
