PURPOSE:To relax an attracting operation during a printing operation by the pressure of jetted air and thereby to reduce the abrasion of a non-magnetic plate stuck on an attracting surface by a constitution wherein air introducing orifices whose jetting ports are opened in attracting members are made in the cores of an electromagnet which attracts a printing hammer. CONSTITUTION:High-pressure air is supplied at a prescribed flow rate to air introducing orifices 21 in the cores 5a of an electromagnet 5 of a printing head, and is jetted constantly from jetting ports 22 toward the armature 4 of a printing hammer 1 which faces the ports. Then, the return speed of the printing hammer 1 in printing operation is decelerated by the pressure of jetted air when the armature 4 is attracted by the magnetism onto the side of the electromagnet 5 opposite thereto after the printing hammer 1 strikes a recording medium by a wire 2, and thereby the shock of the armature 4 is relaxed. In addition, the heating electromagnet 5 is cooled down by a heat exchange occuring when the high-pressure air flows through the cores 5a and by the jetted air, etc. |
