PURPOSE:To manufacture the endless packing, in a cut surface thereof there is no non-flat surface, by externally inserting a cylindrical blank consisting of an elastic material to a rotary fixture shaft, cutting the blank while leaving a slight uncut section on the circumferential surface side of the fixture shaft by a cutting edge and separating the section not cut. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical blank 2 consisting of the elastic material is externally inserted or wound to approximately cylindrical rotary fixture shaft 1 having a driving means, the blank 2 is cut while leaving the section 5 not cut of approximately 0.05-0.15mm. on the inner circumferential surface side of the shaft 1 to total number of products obtained from the blank by the cutting edge 3 having a shifting means in the axial direction and the diametrical direction, and the section not cut 5 is given tension and the section not cut 5 is separated. Accordingly, since mutually adjacent products are given uniformly stress and elastic strain generated in both products is equalized when the section not cut is separated, the sectional shape of products in separating sections keeps accurate right angles, and non-flat surfaces are not generated in the cutting surfaces. |
