Appts. for weaving slide fastener stringers, weaves tape from wefts and warps, with the latter including binder warps along one edge about which is coiled a monofilament as a fastener element simultaneously with weaving of the tape, the monofilament being coiled about a mandrel at an angle to the warps, by a rotor assembly operating in fast-slow mode via a pin-and-slot eccentric drive. The rotor slows down as it nears the weaving mechanisms, to give the warp heads more time to oeprate.
