<p>An electronic thermostat has its electronic circuit assembled on a circuit board 5 which is supported between an extruded metal heat sink 4 and a plastics moulding 1 which has four limbs 2 which grasp and retain the heat sink. The moulding is designed for engagement with an aperture formed in a thin-walled heater panel such that, with the bulk of the electronic thermostat located on one side of the panel, a duct-defining portion 7 of the moulding locates on the other side of the panel and provides an airflow passage between the opposite sides of the panel wherein a solid-state thermally-sensitive device of the thermostat may be located. Also disclosed is a clip 21 for retaining a triac 29 of the electronic thermostat in close contact with a wall 30 of the heat sink, the clip comprising a strip of resilient spring metal having one end formed into an anchoring portion by being bent over on itself to define a generally V-shaped portion, and its other end rolled on itself into a loose spiral 23. <IMAGE></p> |
