PURPOSE:To automatically feed paper in a paper feeder where desired paper is selectively fed out from plural kinds of paper set in cassettes by providing control means for selectively operating paper feed means on the side where paper is set on setting paper. CONSTITUTION:A copier includes a paper feed portion where cassettes storing paper of different sizes can be loaded on the upper and lower stages thereof. When a cassette for A4 size paper is loaded on the upper paper feed portion, a detection switch 11-1 is turned on, and a differentiating signal is output from a differentiating circuit 53 through an inverter 51. Thus, FF55 is set, and a lamp 37a is lighted through a switching circuit 62 by the set output Q. By the output Q, a solenoid 67 for selectively driving a paper feed roller can be operated through an AND gate 63. When in such a condition, a print switch is turned on, the solenoid 67 is driven by an output of a copy control circuit 65 to start feeding paper. |
