PURPOSE:To prevent the effect of a sudden change to be excercised on the conditions of kneading in the variation of the number of revolution of a gear pump, and to obtain the stable state of operation by installing a weir projecting to space between both rotors to an upstream in the vicinity of a discharge port for a material being processed in a kneader. CONSTITUTION:When material pressure in the discharge port 4 for the material varies by the variance of the quantity of the material supplied by a feeder or pulsation, etc. generated in the continuous type kneader 1, a control means by a pressure detector 18 and a control circuit 19 functions. Accordingly, the number of revolution of the gear pump 10 increases and pressure is dropped when material pressure in the discharge port 4 for the material is made higher than set value, and the number of revolution of the gear pump 10 decreases and pressure is raised when pressure is made lower than set value. The weir 21 functions as a flow of the material in the axial direction and resistance against pressure transmission, and reduces the effect on the inside of the kneader 1 of the variation of the number of revolution of the gear pump 10. Consequently, the hunting of pressure in the discharge port 4 for the material is also suppressed, and the number of revolutions of the gear pump 10 is also brought rapidly to a fixed value. |
