PURPOSE:To improve grip feeling of a steering wheel and eliminate irregularity of the temperature thereof, by a method wherein a fabric woven from resin fibers provided with an electrically conductive metallic film is formed into a hollow annular shape, the formed material is fitted onto a rim part of a steering wheel and a coated resin film is provided on the outside surface of the fabric. CONSTITUTION:The rim part 5a of a steering wheel 5 is comprised of a metallic core 3 and a resin 4 surrounding the core 3. The electrically conductive woven fabric 6 formed into the shape of a hollow ring opened in a slit-like form is fitted onto the outside surface of the rim part 5a, the coated resin film 7 is provided on the surface of the fabric 6, and the latter 6 is fixed to the fim 5a. The fabric 6 is woven from resin fibers 6b each of which is provided with an electrically conductive metallic film 6a on the outside peripheral surface thereof. The fabric 6 is provided with folded-back parts 6c at both end parts thereof, and a metallic band 8 surrounded within the folded-back parts 6c is wound around the outside periphery of the rim part 5a. One end of the band 8 is connected to a power source wire 9, and the other is connected to the earthing side. |
