PURPOSE:To improve readout precision, by storing a memory with corrected- value information predetermined for every scanner, and processing the output of a readout part with the corrected-value information and correcting its signal level. CONSTITUTION:The picture reception signal of an original 1 is shifted out of a solid-state image pickup element 5 successively in series by shift pulses and converted into a digital signal of every scan by an A/D converter 71, and the digital signal is supplied to a multiplier 73. The previously stored correcting coefficient signal is read out of an ROM72 synchronously with the output timing of the A/D converter 71 and sent to a multiplier 73. Therefore, the multiplier 73 multiplies the digital picture-reception signal from the converter 71 by the correcting coefficient signal corresponding to every scanner of the element 5. Consequently, the unevenness of light emission intensity resulting from the position of a light source 2 and the level unevenness of the picture-reception signal due to the unevenness of the picture-reception signal of the element 5 are corrected securely every scanner. The corrected signal is converted by a D/A converter 74 into an analog signal, which is outputted as a readout signal. |
