PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic answering telephone set with optimum responding capability, by recognizing an input voice as a word, selecting and converting a corresponding answering message into a voice signal, and outputting it. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic answering telephone set A receives dial pulses generated through the operation of the dial G of a telephone set B, a voice recognition control part D judges whether service requires the intervention of a person or not. When a call is held is held in readiness, a voicing circuit part E is actuated to output a voice message showing there was a telephone call in a voice transmission route 4 through a speaker F connected to the telephone set A. When the telephone set is in an automatic answering state, a voice transmitting circuit to the telephone set B is opened to interpret the contents of a word arriving through a route for a voice signal 2. A voice message set up at a circuit part E is selected according to the interpreted contents. This selection of the message is carried out on the basis of message information stored previously in answering format. |
