<p>NEW MATERIAL:A peptide expressed by the formula (Ala is L-alanine; Arg is L-arginine; Asn is L-asparagine; Glu is L-glutamic acid; Gly is glycine; Lys is L-lysine; Met is L-methionine; Phe is L-phenylalanine; Pro is L-proline; Ser is L-serine; Thr is L-threonine; Tyr is L-tyrosine). USE:Radioimmunoassay of somatostatin 28 used for the assay by labeling the 22nd L-tyrosyl group in the peptide with radioactive iodine. PROCESS:An alpha-amino acid having a protected amino group is linked to an alpha- amino acid having a protected carboxyl group by the conventional method for the peptide synthesis in the sequence of the formula one after another to form peptide bonds, e.g. an active ester, mixed acid anhydride or preferably solid- phase method, and the protecting groups are then removed to give the aimed peptide.</p> |
