PURPOSE:To reinforce upper and lower parts of a rear pillar integrally, by arranging a reinforcement in the rear pillar, and forming a closed section between the reinforcement and an anchor nut attaching part to support an anchor nut therein. CONSTITUTION:The lower part 31 of a reinforcement 3 is pinched between flanges of the inner panel 12 of a rear pillar 1 and a fender panel 11 and is joined thereto to form a front flange 16 of the rear pillar 1 so that the closed section is formed between the inner panel 12 and the reinforcement, and an anchor nut 2 is supported in the closed section. Flanges 23, 24 of a retainer 22, that is, an auxiliary member, for attaching the anchor nut 2 is spot-welded to the inner wall of the reinforcement 3. Since the reinforcement of the anchor bolt attaching part and the reinforcement of a car body corner part of the rear pillar upper part are effected by the reinforcement integrally extending upward and downward, the assembling can be simplified, and the strength and rigidity can be increased. |
