PURPOSE:To release a transfer paper from pressure of pressure means for transporting a sheet, interlocking with attachment and detachment of a sheet storing box, so that if a transfer paper is jammed in a paper feed system, only a cassette may be detached from an apparatus body to completely remove the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:Transfer paper 2 stored in a cassette 1 is lifted up through a plate 3 by a spring 4, and the vertical position of the transfer paper 2 is regulated by a separating finger 5. The transfer paper 2 is separated sheet by sheet by rotation of a paper feed roller 6 and action of the separating finger 5 to be transported to a pair of timing rollers 7 and further to a photoreceptor drum 8 through transfer guides 91, 92. At this time, the upper roller 72 of the timing rollers 7 is pressed to the lower roller 71, and the upper roller 72 is rotatably supported on one end of a lever 11 pivotally mounted on a hinge 10, the other end of the lever being provided with a spring 12. A cassette frame 1 is brought into contact with the spring 12 to be bent, so that the upper roller 72 is pressed against the lower roller 71. |
