<p>The packaging device is for feeding discrete products to be packed into a container, e.g. a carton which is either partly or completely erected, while it is moving past a product receiving station. The device includes an endless chain conveyor for transporting cartons to and past a product delivery station (22). A product delivery conveyor (23) delivers products to this station, while an actuating mechanism is provided adjacent the station. The actuating mechanism comprises a pair of endless chains carrying slide bars (39) which mount slide blocks (40,41). Each block carries pusher fingers (42,43), to move a predetermined number of products into the containers as they move past the station.</p> |
